If your character has been around for long enough, or has done enough for one, they will have a chance to obtain a resonance. A resonance, or better known as a bell, is obtained right before your character is about to lose their last life in The Depths. This process essentially revives you, granting you full health one final time to give you one final chance to escape or win against whatever caused your death.

Upon receiving your bell, you are given a card hand with 3 options for your bell. These bells can be rerolled, be corrupted, legendary, or drowned. Every bell does something different, and their corrupted variants provide further power at a downside to it.

This event can only happen once, so if you once again proceed to die, then that may be the end of your journey.
